Here at Nourish and Well, I offer individualized nutritional therapy that focuses on assessing and identifying the root cause of illness and creating a plan to help you feel your best. I am here to share that health does not have to be one-dimensional. We are bio-individual humans and our unique traits are what make up the vibrant world around us. But that also means what works for one may not work for another, so we work together to create a plan that is best for you and your body. I’m here to help you learn about (and feel good in) your body, mind, and spirit. Our thoughts, emotions, levels of stress, amounts of sleep, food we eat, drinks we consume, and the environment around us influence our health and our bodies.
I believe that every individual is unique in their health journey, which is why I take a functional and bioindividual approach to health and nutrition. I meet you where you are at to help assess the root cause of unexplained symptoms and illnesses. Whether you have been diagnosed with a chronic condition, want to learn more about healthy eating, or are working towards a healthy relationship with food, I combine different modalities to create an individualized plan that works for you and your situation. During each session I take into consideration genetics, lifestyle habits, cultural and social factors, and conventional and functional labs. My goal is to help you cultivate a life through natural foods that bring joy, healing, and positive change.
I am no stranger to chronic illness, body dysmorphia, and the confusion around what “healthy” means. From fad diets and over-exercise, I tried everything to be healthy and heal my body. I thought that if I was a certain size or eliminated half of the foods in my vocabulary, I would magically be better. This sent me into chronic flare ups and deep depression, and I realized there had to be another way. I discovered how interconnected the body is and that the stress, lack of sleep, and inflammatory food was the source of my illness and unhappiness. I enrolled into a graduate program in human nutrition and discovered a love for everything about the body! What we are made up of, how our food and environment influences our function, how nutrients are the key source to health, and that healing isn’t a linear process. Now I am here to share my experience, knowledge, and compassion to those who are looking for a holistic approach to health.
When I am not seeing clients or working in the corporate wellness world, you can find me hanging out with my husband and senior dog watching Marvel movies, going on long hikes, camping, or experimenting in the kitchen!
